Dependencies

abapGit

abapGit is a free program published by SAP, which enables connectivity between your SAP development system and GitHub. It is needed to install dependencies and Safe TMS from GitHub.

A typical installation has to steps:

  • Copying a couple of Z-programs to your system
  • Setting up certificates in STRUST

Detailed installation steps are described in abapGit documentation.

If, for any reason, you are unable to install abapGit, you can get the dependencies and Safe TMS in a regular transport request as well - but you can't adapt further updates automatically. Contact us for details.

Addict

Addict contains helpful objects regarding ABAP development & dictionary. Safe TMS is dependent on those libraries, so you need to install Addict to your development system over abapGit. Those reuseable libraries may be helpful to your ABAP team for other developments as well.

Simbal

Simbal provides simplified utility classes for application log creation. Safe TMS is dependent on Simbal for logging, so you need to install Addict to your development system over abapGit. It can be used by your ABAP team for other developments as well.

TickSys

TickSys is a framework, which enables integration between SAP and ticket systems. Safe TMS is dependent on Ticksys to talk with ticketing systems, such as Jira. You need to install TickSys to your development system over abapGit.


Safe TMS

After succesfully installing and configuring the dependencies mentioned above, you can install Safe TMS using abapGit. Further configuration and enhancement steps can be found via the menu of this document.

If you can't access Safe TMS, it means that we didn't give your GitHub user the proper authorization yet. Contact us and we will take care of it.
